IronCAD Public Access SDK Technical Manual for Non-Runtime Access to IronCAD Data
The IronCAD Public SDK allows a user to access information
about their IRONCAD file without needing to open the software itself. The user
will have access to information such as file properties, file GUIDs,
part/assembly properties, and file conversion tools, and more.
This document
will help guide a user to obtaining such information.
What the SDK Provides
The IRONCAD Public SDK enables external applications to:
Read file properties, GUIDs, and metadata
Traverse the hierarchical scene structure (tree of
assemblies, parts, sheet metal)
Access detailed properties (mass, volume, material,
part number, sizebox dimensions, BOM quantities, etc.)
Perform file conversions:
Important: Read-only access only. No modification
or creation of IRONCAD files is supported.
