Step-by-Step Instructions: How to Activate Your IronCAD Named User (NU) License (or Additional licenses)

Follow these steps carefully to successfully activate your IronCAD Named User (NU) license. Product Version refers to the version of the product you are currently running or activating a license on. Named User refers to a license that is connected to a single user on a single machine. 

Step 1: Close All Running Instances of IronCAD

  • Make sure IronCAD (Product Version) is completely closed.
  • Check your Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and end any processes related to IronCAD if they are still running.

Step 2: Open the License Management Tool

  1. Click on the Windows Start button.
  2. Navigate to: Programs (or All Programs) → IronCAD → Product Version.
  3. Click on License Management Tool to launch it.

Step 3: Start the Activation Process

  1. In the License Management Tool window, click on Activate a Software License.
  2. The activation wizard will now start.

Step 4: Enter Your License Information

  • You will be prompted to enter your Serial Number and Codeword.
  • Enter the details exactly as provided in your license email or activation document.
  • Click Next or Continue to proceed.

Step 5: Complete the Activation

  • Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
  • The tool may connect to the internet to validate your license.
  • Once the activation is successful, you should see a confirmation message.

Step 6: Launch IronCAD

  • Close the License Management Tool.
  • Start IronCAD (Product Version) normally.
  • The software should now run with your newly activated license.
