This article provides step-by-step instructions for transferring an IronCAD Named User (NU) License from one machine to another using the IronCAD License Management Tool.
Ensure you have administrative access to both the source and destination machines.
Have the IronCAD serial number and codeword available for activation on the new machine.
Open the License Management Tool:
Navigate to Start > All Programs > IronCAD [Version Number] > License Management Tool.
Remove the License:
In the License Management Tool, select the Remove License command.
Click Yes to confirm the export of the licenses.
Save the Export File:
Provide a File Name and choose a location to save the export file.
Click Save.
Send the Export Code:
Choose Yes to send the export code to IronCAD via the internet, or No to manually send the export code to Support@ironcad.com via email.
If sent via the internet, wait for the export process to complete. A confirmation dialog will appear.
Close the Tool:
Click OK to close the confirmation dialog.
Click Close to exit the License Management Tool.
The IronCAD NU License is now removed from this machine, and IronCAD will no longer run on it.
Open the License Management Tool:
On the destination machine, navigate to Start > All Programs > IronCAD [Version Number] > License Management Tool.
Activate the License:
Select the Activate a Software License radio button and click Next.
Follow the wizard instructions, entering the serial number and codeword for the IronCAD NU License.
Complete the Activation:
Follow the prompts to complete the activation process.
Once finished, click Close to exit the License Management Tool.
Start IronCAD:
Launch IronCAD to verify that the license is active on the new machine.
Ensure a stable internet connection if sending the export code via the internet.
